Mileage Run Discussion - AA DFW to LAS and beyond - Mileage Run Assistance Requested
I am a complete newbie to mileage runs but need to come up with about 10,000 miles before the end of the year to maintain Platinum. I have a trip coming up to Vegas on the last week of August and would like to do a mileage run if that is possible. I have to be in Vegas on Tuesday (Aug 28) afternoon and will be back at the airport Thursday (Aug 30) afternoon. I have fliexibility both coming and going. I don't have to do all 10K miles on this trip but at this point any little bit helps. Any help would be most appreciated. Also, any "Mileage Run Tips for Dummies" would be appreciated. I have looked at the Mileage Run Tools discussions and am honestly overwhelmed (ever seen a deer in your headlights?). Thanks in advance!!
for this type of request, you should post the ticket you would buy & ask for help to maximize the mi....how much more than the dfw-las rt are you willing to spend at what rate per added mi?....
Thanks very much for the advice!
Current Flight Details:
8-28 - AA1501 - DFW-LAS - Depart 2pm, Arrive 2:50pm
(I could really arrive LAS anytime on the 28th before 6pm)
8-30 - AA1162 - LAS-DFW - DEpart 6pm, Arrive 10:45 pm
(I could return to DFW anytime on the 30th or 31st)
Current Cost at $268. I would be willing to maybe spend around $200 more to maximize the mileage - hopefully somewhere at or less than $.05/mile.
Also, just to clarify, I could depart DFW pretty much anytime on the 28th. I just need to be in LAS around 6PM.
in sept, you an do dfw-ord-sea & back for $275, <6cpm.....just over 5k mi...you may want to wait rather than spend more on this trip....
might be even better deals later...
I can wait...how do you find those fares?
I can wait...how do you find those fares?
i use aa.com...
sea is 1 of the usual suspects from dfw.....there aren't many....
i think waiting is a good idea......
watch mr deals.....sometimes you can hook up w/1 that starts elsewhere.....
good luck...
