Hilton HHonors - Partial Late Arrival Policy?

View Full Version : Partial Late Arrival Policy?

I have a Great Getaway non-refundable booking for a Hilton Hotel in Europe, a room for two persons i.e. my wife and myself, booked and paid with my name and credit card.

Due to an unplanned business trip I will have to join my wife in the hotel. My trip in Asia includes, however, a very short flight connection and should I miss my connecting flight I would arrive some 24 hours late to the hotel. Now my questions would be:

1. Will Hilton honour the booking, if only one of us two arrives in time? Even if it was booked with my name and credit card?

2. Does it help if I indicate my wife's name as the second occupant of the room in the supplementary information of the booking?

3. What should I do?

Sorry, if this has been answered before!

Call/write the hotel and have the name of your wife added to the booking (and explain that you will arrive afterwards). This should not cause any problems - happens every day.

Add your wife's name as the second guest on the online reservation. When I've been in the situation I've just called the hotel the day of to let them know that my second will check in first. I've never had a problem although I have been told that I need to physically check-in at the front desk to receive points.

This will work. Just make sure your wife has a credit card for when she checks in since the hotel will want one for incidentals and may not want to use the one on file.
