Travel Products - Do you actually lock your Rimowa combination lock when flying in or out of the US?

Can anyone share recent experience with locking the combination locks on Rimowa Topas or Limbo and had no problem for TSA to open them for inspection. Whenever I check my luggage at SFO, LAX, or Hawaii, my bag always got inspected. I will be using Rimowa with build-in TSA locks and just do not want to see them being malfunction so TSA will destroy the locks to open the case.

Thanks, Ocean

Always.

Usually entering via NY, Dulles, or Miami. Usually exiting via LAX or elsewhere.

The TSA is locked and set to 000. I also use a case strap with a TSA lock for pre-TSA Rimowa luggage. Never a problem, fortunately.
