United MileagePlus (Consolidated) - FFCC on award ticket
I try to search but can't find this information.
Before the merge, if I hold a business/first award ticket and the domestic
segment is booked in x, I can waitlist as FFCC when check in.
Does the FFCC still exist?
Award ticket issued by US and travel with CA and UA.
Routing: A-B-C-D
A-B domestic flight in China (no saver C available when booking)
B-C confirmed C from China to US
C-D domestic flight in the US booked into x (no saver F available when booking)
Questions
1. Can I ask the agent put me on FFCC or whatever it is called now for C-D
when check-in at the airport? Does FFCC still exist and what is it called today?
2. From A-B (this is not related to UA), do you know can I ask the agent waitlist me for the business class since it is C award ticket?
Thank you very much.

From my experience, if you get a pmUA agent, they are MUCH more likely to do it. Also, check R avail before you fly. If it opens, call and change it
For the China flights...you can ASK but don't expect a yes. It never hurts to ask though

Thanks a lot.

Since the ticket is issued by US Air, UA will not change it. You have to call US Air for the change. It is unlikely UA will do this, even at the airport.

If this ticket were issued by UA then you could FFCC at the airport..but since it was US..unless you can get confirmed in F through US in advance you'll be SOL..however if you have a Chase card that makes you eligible for CPU's on award tickets you could possibly get upgraded that way. No FFCC though (or whatever it's called now).

What in the world is FFCC? I don't mind abbreviations but the OP should spell it out the first time and then use the abbreviation.

FFCC stands for "full fare class change". It's a list that existed in the PMUA world in the airport departure management system. There is probably something similar currently but I don't know what it's called.
The list was for people who have paid for a higher cabin but are seated in a lower cabin because there was no space available in their booking code in the higher cabin. Could be used in both award and paid ticket situations. The FFCC list had a higher priority than the upgrade waitlists so it was always desirable to be on FFCC if you were eligible and many times you had to specifically request it.

Chances are slim to none there will actually be space available by the time you get to the airport
