Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - 10 rows of business class on Austrian's 777-200?

Hello,

I tried to have my seat assigned to the LAST row in business on the VIE-JFK (they use a 777-200) and was given row 10.
I can only find seat maps showing up to 7 rows, so am a tad confused.
I also asked if there were two separate business class cabins and was told "it's all one cabin", which I find hard to believe.:confused:

Has anyone any knowledge about this?

Yes, its 2 sections in ONE Business class cabin...

Perhaps that's what the agent meant. But I'd worry cos there's no row 10 in Business class.

The second section is much smaller and quieter.

Just have made a dummy request and the following seat map appeared for the Fligh OS 88, e.g. on Mid September:

Rows 1-7 are in Business Class configuration, 2-3-2

So there may be some mismatch of fare class, reservation. There is no row 10 in Business Class.

I tried again today and moved us to row 4. They said they have the window seats in row 5 "blocked".

They are still insisting that there are 10 rows of business class.:confused:

OS will be retrofitting their longhaul fleet with new LX style business class seats starting September. They are obviously referring to this new layout which has ten rows or business class seats. Also, through the staggered layout, the window seats in every second row are not directly at the window, as already known from LX. That's probably what they mean by "blocked".

When is your trip? They will have a new J product with 10 rows on the 777 starting in Janaury btw JFK-VIE (on both the 777 and 767).
