Does BR offer lounge access by using your miles similar to what CI does? I have 10k miles expiring at the end of the month and I would like to find a way to liquidate them. I will be returning from Taiwan to the US in two weeks, but I won't be in business nor do I have any status (just lowly Green). Hopefully the kinks of accruing UA miles on BR is cleared up now as I intend to credit my miles to M+.

Unfortunately the answer is No. If you have status/lounge access you may use your own miles for companion lounge access (5000 miles per person). But you cannot use your own miles to let yourself access to the lounge.

You may be able to pay to go in, I have done this several times at BKK, cost about 800 baht. (£16), just ask at the BR ticket desk.

Use it when you can... I guess once they would finally join *A, the lounge will be full of *A Golds escaping from TG lounges;)

I am flying Royal Laurel Class JFK-TPE then business class from TPE-MNL, can I access the Diamond Lounge or only the Business Lounge? Their website gives conflicting information. Thanks for any info!

There are two main lounges, the Diamond (the newest one) and the Business. There is also the Garden. You can access the Diamond because you are in business class. You can't access the Garden because you're not Diamond. You can probably use the Business if you want (it's not as good as the Diamond). The only reason would be to use the hot dog machine (IMHO).
Hope that helps!

Surely I'm not the only one that finds this lounge name scheme kinda nonsensical?

Last 5 or 6 times I flew with EVA we were told to go in Garden, I dont have any status with them because I always pay for business class anyway and always found their programme a waste of time joining

I'm surprised by this (unless it was a while back). My observation is that whilst I've seen airport workers/EVA AMEX platinums etc. get in, I've not seen "normal C class" pax gain access.
Prior to the refurbishment of "the Diamond" (originally it was the First Class lounge), "lounge upgrades" were common and as Gold I was often given the Garden.
I was Gold for a while after the Diamond lounge opened. In Elite/Economy I was always put into the Business lounge and in PL the Diamond lounge. Never the Garden until I got the Diamond card.
