Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Did I miss something?!? SEZ apparently is in Southern Africa...

I was thinking about burning some M&M miles to fly to the Seychelles (SEZ). To my surprise M&M considers SEZ to be in Southern Africa?

1. This makes absolutely no sense when NBO which has nearly the exact same latitude is considered to be in Central/Northern Africa, even more ridiculously Uganda is south of SEZ, but is still considered to be in Central/Northern Africa.

2. What makes this a real nuisance is that the only *A airline which flies to SEZ is ET via ADD. And guess what? ADD is in Central/Northern Africa and thus youīll be required to pay the ridiculous amount for a 3 region award as M&M does not allow you to transfer through a third region on a regular award even when itīs the only option and most direct routing.

So to summarize: M&M wants me to pay 185k miles (not to mention taxes and the ridiculous fuel surcharges) for a business class award ticket?!? No thanks...

To add to the confusion: Tanzania is central africa region, while Angola at the same latitude is Southern Africa...

At a first glance into Amadeus, SEZ is counted as Indian Ocean....

Funny, after not seeing SEZ in the Central/Northern Africa region, I looked in the Indian subcontinent region. After all SEZ is (used to be?:p) somewhere between Central Africa and India. Guess my mind isnīt suited to understand M&M geography.:D
