Hi,

I am flying an itinerary (paid ticket - business) which requires me to stay overnight in an airport (not AUH, FRA). I seem to recall that for C passengers Etihad would offer an hotel night, but I cannot find any detail on that. Any experts care to shed some light?

Thanks!

if EY still offer STPC, then it is probably only offered at Abu Dhabi.

I really think you have no chance of expecting the airline to pay for your overnight in FRA, if for no other reason than the fact that you will not be arriving in FRA on EY. (If you are, it means you are flying in one day, and flying out the next, on Etihad. That's not a stopover). If you are arriving in FRA on a codeshare and connecting to the first of the two daily EY flights, you would probably not qualify anyway, as you could most likely instead have booked an itinerary that did not require an overnight stay in FRA.

In any case, you would need to contact the airline (via the travel agent, if you did not make the booking yourself) to book your STPC so you may as well just call and ask - you will have to, anyway.

Which airport is it?

FRA = Frankfurt (Germany)

Actually, no. I am arriving and departing on EY (granted, the first leg is a codeshare), and there's no other itinerary that could avoid an overnight somewhere (flying TLL-FRA-AUH-KUL).

But thanks for pointing me out to the name of the program, a few searches show that it was probably terminated anyways :(

Ah - as there is only one flight a day from TLL to FRA - operated by LH - is this the flight you are on?

I'm surprised that this is an Etihad codeshare. TLL does not seem to be listed as a departure point on the EY website. Both Flightstats and the Frankfurt Airport website only show this flight being codeshared with United (UA).

Anyway, based on the current schedules, the only direct TLL-FRA flight arrives either at 1925 or 1945 (depending on the day of the week) which should be loads of time to connect with the second EY flight of the day from FRA to AUH, which departs at 2225.

Perhaps you are not on a direct TLL-FRA flight after all!!!

Edit: Tallinn is not an Etihad destination, even as a codeshare - http://www.etihadairways.com/sites/Etihad/global/en/planatrip/Pages/partnerairlines.aspx
I suspect you are not travelling on an all-Etihad ticket (or at least, the TLL-FRA segment may indeed be on a single ticket, but it has nothing to do with Etihad) so EY would have no reason to provide overnight accommodation at FRA.

You are right and I was wrong. It is an interline ticket, but indeed the first leg is sold as LH. So, scrap this question, my bad :rolleyes:
