I'm planning a trip to Stockhom for June 2013 (yes, I'm planning early as I want to use miles) from IAD returning CPH to IAD. What I want to know is...as a US citizen and having to change terminals at CDG (E to F?) will I have to go through customs, immigration security etc. a. because this is my first entry point outside of the US and/or b. because we're changing terminals? What about the return trip from CPH? MANY thanks in advance for any help you may have.

IAD-CDG-ARN : security ion IAD; immigration and security in CDG; customs in ARN (you don't collect bags in CDG but only at ARN, your final destination)

CPH-CDG-IAD : security in CPH; immigration in CDG; immigration and customs in IAD

Enjoy :)

Thank you "Goldorak". I thought that may be the case. (I called Air France yesterday and they said no customs, security or immigration - I'm glad I posted this question here.). So, how much time should I allow (we don't speak French very well and have always found CDG a little intimidating because of that) to change terminals. We will be flying Business (Affaires) if that matters. Again, thank you, your information is very helpful.

Flying J, you have access to SkyPriority/Accès No 1fast track lane for both immigration and security (and boarding). So it should be quick (I would say 30 min max gate to gate).

You make it sound very easy. I must say I'm tempted to book this route as significantly fewer miles are needed than going through JFK. Many thanks again.

You're very welcome :)
Connections in CDG have really improved these last months.
