Not with all those airlines, but I believe a couple of options offered are (disclaimer: I have heard about these airfares but have not read the rules in detail. A cursory glance indicates they are RTW, limited to the airlines mentioned in each case). So somewhat more restricted than say than OW DONE4, but considerably cheaper. Basic summary below. HRWSQVA - economy class, SQ and VA only*, AUD2264++ DRWSQVA - business class, SQ and VA only*, AUD8895++ (* MI and DJ, and in certain circumstances VX, can be used as well) YLRWVSVA - economy class (low season), VS and VA only#, AUD2620++ YHRWVSVA - economy class (high season), VS and VA only#, AUD3060++ DRWVSVA - business class, VS and VA only, AUD10560++ (# travel between LAX and NYC must be on DL) cssaus Aug 5, 12, 1:27 am Not with all those airlines, but I believe a couple of options offered are (disclaimer: I have heard about these airfares but have not read the rules in detail. Am I right in saying that looking at fare DRWSQVA the downside would be that if you wanted to fly via the US to the UK and then into Europe, there's no way of doing it? I presume that these fares need to be booked via a travel agent? qwertyuiop Aug 5, 12, 1:31 am I recently booked a RTW fare with VA, EY and VS leaving next month. MEL-SYD (DJ) SYD-AUH (VA) Premium Economy AUH-LHR (EY) Y LHR-LAX (VS) Premium Economy LAX-MEL (VA) Premium Economy All up it came to about 4300 AUD including all taxes and charges. Booked through the VA call centre. tuapekastar Aug 5, 12, 2:23 am Thanks for that insight, quite informative. Don't want to fill up posts with fare rules but happy to PM some to you if you wish. :) |
