Qantas Frequent Flyer - Able to view JL bookings on QFF site?

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask a quick question. I've booked some flights for my parents on JL and provided their QFF numbers. Should I be able to see their itinerary on the QFF website after they log in? I haven't been able to so far and rang up the agent to check that their QFF numbers were attached (which they confirmed) however I still can't see any bookings showing up. Am under the assumption that OW bookings can be seen if the QFF number is provided as was the case with BA flights that I had booked previously. If anyone can shed light on this it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Unless the other airline uses Amadeus , then bookings will not be visible

e.g. BA uses Amadeus so bookins show up, AA uses Sabre so bookings will not be visible on QF site

Unless JL uses Amadeus ( which I think that they do not use) I would not expect JL bookings to be visible

JL flights can be visible provided they are in the same booking as a QF/BA/IB etc flight (and thus also have a Amadeus reference), eg a QF/JL booking MEL-SIN-NRT would show the JL flight.
If the booking is wholly on JL or a combination of airlines that don't use Amadeus (eg, JL/AA) it will not appear on the QF site.

If you look at the JAL website you can view the registered FF number through there.

Thanks all for your replies. Didn't know they had to be on Amadeus as well but that explains everything. Cheers.
