Qatar Airways Privilege Club - Award Ticket: choosing Qatar instead Thai

Hi!
I have a business class award ticket to go from Berlin to Bali in October. On my way there I have chosen Thai, going through bru and bkk. On my way back SIA through Sin and lhr.
I have never flown Thai or Qatar.
I am now thinking of changing my way to Bali for Qatar airways. I could either do txl-muc-doh-(sin)-dps or txl-lhr-doh-(sin)-dps. So I would have one additional stop. I have read that you need to disembark in Sin.
The muc flight would be an A330 whereas the lhr flight would be 777-200lr. Time on ground in doh would be a good 3 hrs going through muc and less than 2 hrs through lhr.
Overall, both trips (also the Thai one) would be roughly 24 hours.
Any recommendations? Is taking Qatar worth the extra stop?
Thanks
Chris

I haven't flown QR, but I have a big trip booked to Bali in September from Houston, and chose QR over LH and TG based on the amazing reviews I read all over online.
From what I've read this is a no-brainer, and the 777 would be recommended over the A330.
On your stopover in DOH you'll have access to the premium terminal, which many folks say you need 5 hours to really enjoy.
Obviously my info comes from other reviews and not my own, but I did do a very comprehensive search online and even changed my trip to ensure my return is on QR as well.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for your feedback.
Now I am still unsure whether to route through MUC or LHR. As mentioned in my original post, MUC would give me (to be exact) 3:10 hrs stopover in DOH, whereas LHR would "only" give me 1:40 hrs.
As the flight from MUC is only 5:40 hrs, I guess the A330 will be ok for that (no need to sleep on that flight).
Anyone else with advice for this? Thanks!
QR have direct flights from TXL to DOH.

I know. But business class is not available on that day.

Don't take TG over QR ! In fact, I'd take many carriers over TG if I can help it - bar any of the US carriers.

I fly QR from KWI-DOH-BKK regularly in 777 biz and is a great product.
Returning from BKK the Thai lounge that Qatar has sharing agreement sucks near the normal departure gate sucks. I have heard of other good Thai lounges in BKK but have not seen them.
My only flying experiences I have with TG is within Thailand and is nothing to brag about.

Ok. I guess I will then change my flights for QR, since I am only hearing good things.
Any recommendations on Muc vs. Lhr / short (<2 hrs) vs. Long (>3 hrs) stop in DOH?

With QR, I've done this SIN stop in both directions. It's termed a "Technical stop", 1hr 15min. It's actually a crew change and the plane is cleaned - everybody out.
It's ok in the DOH -> DPS direction, as it comes about 3pm local and is a great leg stretch, wth a couple of hours to go.
However, the DPS -> DOH direction is a real pain, 1am local after you have only been flying a couple of hours - everyone is red eyed and grumpy.

Well, I've done it. Just changed my reservation. I've decided on going through LHR, to try out the new QR Lounge. Also, this means I will be flying 777 all the way from LHR to DPS, which I really look forward to.
And, btw: On my return flight I am taking SQ and actually have a rather long stopover (5 days) in SIN to enjoy the city and visit family.
Sounds like you have a perfect plan.
QR J on the 77W /77LR is great. Great seats, great service, good food, great champagne, and rather nice PJs.
SIN airport is lovely too haha, and don't worry you can walk around with your beer bottle in hand (like in Berlin on weekends), it's not against the law. Just that it gets warm really quickly.

I was told on my DOH-DPS route with SIN stop, no de-planing. YMMV
