Sep 25-26 SFO-PHL-ORF-CLT-SFO $146ai (R) (5305mi ~2.8cpm)

-PERMITTED TUE/WED.

To many city pairs to name....have a look....unfortunately it looks like same days may be out, but maybe there is a red eye possibility???

*there are lower prices than ~$150ai (the $150ai was what I was seeing for longer flights)

AA has some decent enough LAX/SAN-BDL rates going right now, won't post as they're over 5 cpm, but when combined, could make this a little stronger by getting around that stay requirement. Too bad I can't go Tuesday or Wednesday right now at all.

I am absolutely mad right now. I just spent ~$637 on COPA to GIG for 11K EQMs when I could have waited and got the same EQMs for less on US albeit I would probably have to fly two or more seperate times.

Trust me...I'm not shedding any tears because of this trip. OTOH, I would rather get the EQMs for less dollars.

I found Oct 23-24, SAN-PHX-EWR-CLT-SAN for $146.

In September, you can fly Tuesday nights DCA-CLT-LAX (flights leaving around 6:30 p.m.) and then LAX-CLT-DCA back on Wednesday afternoon for $172. 5020 miles at 3 cents per mile (if I calculated correctly). I don't know how the double miles would work on that though--I'm assuming b/n DCA and PHL. If so, it would be slightly more miles on top of the 5020.

It'd be for the entire trip. So you'd get 5k elite miles, and 10k US miles. 12 of those (not that 12 are available at that price!) would get you a RT award in F on *A to the North Asia region on Dividend Miles.

Also of note, there is an $18 each way for a round trip base fare on US PHX-LAS, works out to $62 AI RT, or $31 a segment, not bad.

$250 RT from ATL-CLT-LAX. Let's hope DL matches.

I wonder if it's because of the flash sale that WN is running today only for travel on select Tuesdays and Wednesdays in September. Seeing transcons (OK, connections) < $200 RT ai, and otherwise their shortest routes for as low as $72 RT ai. If this is a fare war, I wish it would expand to other carriers.

try adding in a connection since you are probably looking at N/S inventory. or take the train to DCA. when flying out of PHL i have always found US to be cheapest on short haul regional but going west United usually beat them out

For those that wonder, the T&C of the double miles promo from DCA explicitly specify that the bonus applies to all connecting flights of an itinerary that originates or ends at DCA! ;)

I disagree, but right now i can only speculate! I have booked a same-day turn for September to FL and i expect double miles for that! I have posted on the US forum my view for the difference between a round-trip and a connection. It is true that it is not clear in the T&Cs.
