Thinking about staying next weekend. AA Novice Aug 3, 12, 7:45 am I guess I'll let everyone know after next weekend. hhoope01 Aug 3, 12, 8:20 am While I live in the area, I have never stayed there. So don't really know anything about it. But a stay report would definitely be appreciated and helpful for others. Cheers. 4bangn Aug 3, 12, 11:54 am First, there are some pretty awesome LNF rates to be had here, at least on the weekends. I like this Marriott, it's a clean and fairly basic Marriott with a golf course! It's out of the way from the city, so if your wanting to go to downtown ft worth or the stock yards, it's a little drive. The lounge is small and the breakfast in the lounge is limited to one hot item. I've had good luck here getting upgraded to a suite, which are pretty large; they have a separate bedroom and separate stand up shower. I don't really play golf so can't comment on the course. Hope this helps! A little bit nicer Marriott is in Westlake, tx, not too far from the above. Its close to south lake where there are restaurants and shops. If closed, is it key accessible? Is there an i-net terminal or free wifi? Please post & I'll update the exec lounge sticky. Cheers. awb824 Aug 3, 12, 4:07 pm Just stayed there a couple of weeks ago. Lounge is not open on weekends. Wifi in rooms. 4bangn Aug 3, 12, 5:31 pm If I remember right it's hit to miss with with breakfast coupons. No access to lounge on weekend either. tdrag97 Oct 23, 12, 8:41 am First, there are some pretty awesome LNF rates to be had here, at least on the weekends. I have two room book for the 2nd week of Nov, Current a Gold members., hoping to get a nice upgrade jayer Dec 23, 12, 5:11 pm Built as a Westin some years ago in anticipation that related growth around the speedway and Alliance Airport would be much quicker than has happened. Now on its third flag, and still sort of long way away from everything else. Room clean and good finish if not very latest style. Bedding and room size both good. My only negative was the front desk interaction was rather abrupt. Don't think it would work as a base location to do Fort Worth unless you just wanted to play the associated golf course. Not close to town. However, it could be a way better than average over-the-road driving night stop for you. Its a full serve, not a Courtyard, an easy mile off I-35W. There was no additional charge for parking. There were public computers in the lobby. There is a club but not open when we were there on a weekend. You can see it at night from I'35W, and unless there is a race on its not congested that far north. (But, I-35W can be quite overloaded during the day, and not restricted to rush hour. If you push north clear through town in the evening, you will have come out on the other side of the traffic when you get there. If its already late and you are going south, good place to stop right off the road, but get up really early to beat the traffic). SkiAdcock Dec 24, 12, 7:43 am Thanks for the update! Cheers. tdrag97 Dec 31, 12, 11:03 am was up there on last Thanksgiving., Room was Clean Upgrade to a suite (separated King room w/ tub, standing shower bathroom and living room with a sleeper and its own bathroom) Lounge was close on weekend Breakfast coupon (which was not bad, your normal spread of hot and cold with made to order eggs, omelet etc) Gold status, but main road was under construction and far from most anything interesting.. you would pass like a few nicer Marriott (w/o golf) when you drive toward the city.
