American Express Membership Rewards - Amex Travel Canada - hotel reservation change in price

Hi,

I booked a room a few weeks back through Platinum Card Travel Services (Canada) for a stay in Paris next weekend. I checked the hotel website today and the price has gone from 189 Euro/night to 124 Euro/night.

Will Travel Services give me the benefit of the lower rate? I also used my $200 Travel Credit in case that is relevant.

Not sure about Canada, but when I've booked through Amex Plat, they have given me the lower rate. You just need to call.

FHR rates you can pretty much always cancel before 24 hours of check-in. I don't think you should have a problem getting the lower rate. But definitely call. I wouldn't expect them to adjust it without you saying something.

I've booked hotel rooms through Fine Resort & Hotels website and then noticed the price had gone down. So I called and they adjusted the price. I suggest you do the same.

Out of curiosity, which hotel? Can't imagine that it's any of the FHR ones unless you forgot an extra 0 :)

No, it wasn't through FHR. It was a Mercure (Accorhotels) property in Paris.
