Flight 1258 IAD-BOS currently delayed (>1.5 hours) in IAD since there was supposedly smoke aboard the aircraft on the previous flight into IAD. Waiting to see if they can find the source or if they can bring in another aircraft to takes passengers to BOS.

At least the captain got on the horn and apologized and they brought out drinks and snacks for all.

Rebooked on a DCA flight with taxi voucher. They couldn't put people on airlines other than AA out of IAD unfortunately. Also they weren't able to give hotel vouchers to other passengers who got rebooked till tomorrow!

Do taxi vouchers include tip for the driver? Also is it too much to ask for a meal voucher at DCA since the new flight is 8 hours later than original?

Well, what happened the flight today? Smoking is not allowed in the any aircraft. He should know better! They would deserved him banned from the airline or he will go to jail for tampering in the aircraft. He could almost gotten damaged the entire aircraft.

For an MX not Wx why no vouchers. Doesn't seem right.

I don't know. Managed to score a meal voucher at DCA, though my fellow passengers didn't have the same luck. To top it off, the DirectTV on the DCA-BOS flight was broken, but the pilot announced that we would be compensated somehow (email perhaps?). And a fight almost broke out between a flight attendant and a passenger (I think the passenger flipped her the bird, but I don't know what the argument was about - I surmise it was something about exit row seating though). Fun times! DC to BOS door to door in 12 hours.

Yes, in a few days (maybe less) you'll get an email with your compensation in Travel Bank credits. Sounds like you should get more than one (should get something for the original delay/cancellation - $50?, plus the TV outage, which is $15 per flight). The first email will have instructions for the Travel Bank account.
