hey FTers!
hope you are all doing well this summer!

I will be on biz in Georgia->Armenia->Russia early September and I have managed to secure two extra days in Tbilisi before starting trade meetings.

I'm thinking about hiring a local travel agent to give me two full days of a good experience. I'm not into cult/religion places but understand that some of those are heavily tied to history of the country.

Here's what I got from the TA - do you think it is a good use of my time? Any additions/changes? I'm in my early thirties, pretty active, so can survive 18h long day.

DAY 1 Arrival to Tbilisi International Airport and transfer to Hotel. After
breakfast start the route with Abanotubani district: visit famous Sulphur baths and botanical garden, Narikala Fortress, Metekhi Church and the bridge, walking via Shardeni Street and visit souvenir shops. Continue road to Kakheti region, drive to the fortified town of Sighnaghi. Visit
local Sighnaghi museum. Overnight in the town at hotel Old Sighnaghi.
DAY 2 Drive to Telavi via A. Chavchavadze museum and the wine cellar in Tsinandali, visit Alaverdi monastery with the antic cellar where wine is made according the old traditions. The road to Tbilisi runs along the foot of the Caucasus mountain range providing the beautiful views, on the way excursion to the fortified medieval citadel of Gremi. Visit wine cellar in the
tunnel. Return to Tbilisi.

ps. I'm wondering if there's a good reason to visit Gori?

Sounds alright, but I'm surprised Mtskheta is missing, where you'll find Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Both are quite famous, and worth seeing, in my book. Great views from the monastery...

cheers - checked the map and it looks like it is doable. Asking my agency to incorporate that one :)

any other ideas are welcome - happy to skip sleeping for those 48hs to maximize sightseeing :)
