Hey all, I'm going to be heading to a few cities in Europe this summer, CDG AMS PRG VIE and BUD. Not sure how much spotting I will get done but I still would like to know some good spots and info if possible, all I know is at CDG you need a spotter pass, how would I be able to get this. Thanks for the help in advance.

AMS is great. If you have a car, even better. Here is a great PDF of spots (http://www.plane-spotter.com/Airports/Netherlands/AMS/SpotterGuide_AMS.pdf). My personal favourite is spot D, though I heard parking is hard there now.

Regarding CDG this permission is availlable from the "Prefecture". A friend of mine has one and he told me itīs neccessary to apply for it and picking it up personally at the local Prefecture (plus paying a service charge obviously).
Itīs probably a bit too much time consuming for only 1-2 days spotting ...

Regarding VIE Iīd suggest you check the local "aviation friends" website. Itīs sort of a spotter club but literally an airport support club - so not limited to spotting.
The website is in German only but if you contact them by email they will certainly give you more details in English.
So, Hereīs the website: flughafenfreunde.at
Just click "Kontakt" and write to the email adress shown ( obmann at flughafenfreunde.at)

For PRG I suggest you check the following website:
planes.cz/en/
planes.cz/lite/PRGspot.php with spotting details ...
