Trip Reports - American first class to Japan, Hyatt Regency Kyoto, Hoshinoya Kyoto, and more!

Hi Folks,

A few weeks ago I flew to Japan on a discounted American Airlines business class ticket (~$1,800) which I upgraded to first class. I figured it was a good value for first class, especially since I'd be earning a good chunk of redeemable/elite qualifying miles for the trip.

I noted your comment about the lady on your LAX-NRT, who had never flown in First Class before and enjoyed the luxury of it all... And, as you commented, I think a lot of people become jaded by the up-front experience, and as crew, it always makes me happy when people are new to experiencing it and I can make it special for them. It seems Steve obviously made it a nice flight for the lady too.
