Travel Technology - $50 master key for four million hotel rooms

At a recent Black Hat conference, Cody Brocious, a Mozilla software developer, described a simple way to defeat a particular type of hotel room door lock. Unfortunately, the master code for the lock is stored in plaintext on the lock itself. Here's a well written article about the hack. and at least one other place on FT. I've seen a similar device used to defeat the security system on keyless versions of BMWs (2004-2010) it completely defeats the immobilizer:

any lock can be broken , always make sure your valuables are in the safe or at least in your suitcase so it takes them time to look ,
