Any idea on how to book this?

PVG – IST – HAM departing on 2012-12-12
PVG – IST in Comfort Class

Hipmunk provides it, but than forwards me to Orbitz where I get an error.

I am interested in booking NUE - CAN in Y (as there is no Y+) and back HKG - NUE (Y+/Y) at a reasonable price.

I now contacted the local sales offices in Shanghai and Hamburg by email and they offered prices as cheap as the standard return trip with mixed booking classes from Shanghai to Hamburg. Anyway the quote from the Shanghai sales office was a bit cheaper than the one from the Hamburg sales office due to the exchange rate they used. Every sales office offered in local currency.

Any good travel agent will also be able to book this for you (even in the internet age they do come in handy for unusual itineraries)

I just noted that some unrestricted CC fares (in O and U; slightly more expensive that excursion O and U fares) allow to be booked in J RBD. The fare rule says J segment applies within Europe only, but this text is not validated for autopricing and RBD rules (which are validated for autopricing) say it can be booked in J regardless of the area. Not sure how it works in practice...

OK, got it now, all long haul segments are also listed as U required, this is how J is restricted to short/ medium haul flights.

BTW Chicago flights do not have CC (332 is used), so when it changes suddenly TK may be a bit slow in modifying the fare rules resulting in CC WU fares bookable in J;)
