Hyatt Gold Passport - Triggering a Guaranteed Stay rate?

While logged in as a Diamond, I was looking into a Park Hyatt over the winter holidays. Doing a regular search, the only rates offered were for Park Deluxe and above rooms.
Then, using the Redeem Gold Passport Points option, I attempted to check availability for point redemption over this same time period. This brought up a page with the message "The hotel is fully committed over your requested award travel dates. As an elite Hyatt Gold Passport member, your benefits provide access to a guaranteed rate that is available for you to book during this time period. ", bringing up the "GUAR AVAILABLE" rate for a regular Park Twin room, lower in price than anything that came up during the regular search.
Is there a more straightforward way of bringing up the Guaranteed rate than via attempting a points reservation?

This is the first time I've heard of something like this happening.

It seems that you can trigger a guaranteed rate by entering Corporate Code 10081. And you don't even have to be logged in to do it...so I guess anybody can book like a Diamond?

I find that even when logged in as a Diamond, I don't necessarily see the guaranteed rates being offered, but sometimes first clicking on the hotel itself and then repeating the booking request does it. It also helps to be asking for standard rates, not AAA or government etc. Sometimes you must play with the dates due to minimum stay requirements for different arrival dates, but it's better to use that guaranteed rate plan only for the nights that you can't book otherwise. (This means multiple reservations for the same stay.)

That is a diamond benefit where if you request it 72 hrs is advance, you willl get a room but at a high rate (not sure if it is rack rate). I think I did it one time or tried to for a conference but ouch on the rate.
You have to call.. It would not come up on the web..

Yes, and it does sometimes appear on the website, although sometimes it can take some fiddling to see the guaranteed reservation being offered. If you go this route, be careful as despite these looking like rack rates, they can be nonrefundable or carry substantial penalties with very early cancellation deadlines for the location, type of hotel, etc.
