Fairmont President's Club - Delayed Certificate Redemption

About 6 weeks ago, I completed 3 seperate stays, and redeemed a pile of certs at each. Within a couple of days, I could see the $25 food/spa certs redeemed in my FPC account, my local food experience cert, a suite upgrade and a free night cert. However, it appears that the second suite upgrade cert redemption, also (supposedly) used during my trip, has yet to post to my FPC online account.
What's your experience with this? Do you think it will still eventually post, or do I have a good chance at trying to redeem it again? ;) The property where the cert was not applied was the JPL.

I used a free night and suite upgrade cert and for a couple of weeks, only the suite upgrade was used. I thought I might have gotten lucky with an unused free night cert, but it posted a couple of weeks later.
Maybe you'll get lucky :)

My experience has been that the free nights and dinner certs always get recorded. Room and suite upgrades book about 20% of the time - either they don't care about the upgrades, the system isn't working properly or they're just being nice. Whatever the reason I'm not complaining.

Thanks, that's encouraging. I have a few more trips coming up, so hopefully I'll be able to use the upgrade again. ^

I used a free night + suite.
It took 6 weeks for the free night to post, the suite still has not posted.
As I understand it the hotel sends the certificates to corporate who credits the property for that "Fairmont Room Stay"
I would guess suite certs are not worth while for redemption by the hotel.

I'll be in Ottawa next weekend, so I just finished booking another reservation at the Chateau Laurier. Unfortunately, there aren't any suites available for the night I'm staying, so I couldn't use the suite upgrade (not that I would want to burn it on a one-night stay anyway). However, the rep on the phone confirmed it's still available for use.
Now I wonder what would happen if I did use it, and then the posting from my earlier stay happened afterwards. Would they come after me for the price difference on the last stay, or is Fairmont basically out of luck since it would have been their delayed redemption that allowed the duplicate use to happen?

If you used the same upgrade cert twice and it wasn't flagged at check-in then absolutely nothing would happen after the fact.
Not sure that's true for double-dipping on free nights or dining certs.

Has anyone tried double-dipping the free night?

Why don't you give it a try and let us know how it turns out. ;)
