Possibly at some point but not in the forseeable future as far as I know.

Unusually for me I'm flying VS to/from JFK in the next week on an A340-600. Will this have the new UC Suite?

So my DEL-LHR on Jan 5th will be old (A340-600) but outbound LHR-BOM on 27th Dec on A330-300 might be new? First time in Upper Class (and first time on VS for over 20 years!), usually CW on BA so quite curious. Have heard some vey mixed comments...

DEL switches between all Airbus variants - but I believe it is the 600 over Christmas/New Year.

BOM is currently A330 year round with the new product & IFE.

If you are in UC on an A333 then you will by definition be in the new suite.

You can check by looking at the seat map for your flight in 'manage your booking'

If it shows an airbus with a cabin of 4 across then it is an A330 and will have the new 'dream' suite.

Alternativly do a dummy booking for your dates and in the flight details click on the red flight number and the plane type is shown there

Unlikely, the A333 would be approaching it's maximum range for LHR-LAX and besides, it's a popular route with high yields which is why the bigger A346 and 747 share the flights there.

I apologize for not knowing the exact type of the "new" refitted aircraft we flew, but we departed IAD to LHR on 12/4/12 and returned 12/11/12 flying in their refitted upper class and I must say, I wasn't as comfortable. The pods seem smaller. When we flew Virgin last it was 2-3 years ago and there seemed to be more room in the pods than now. The clubs are still great!

+1 from me there. Once in the new UCS was enough for me. I got booked on the VS4 next Feb, and am glad to see the seat map is for a 346 right now.

Likewise +1: truly a step backwards. I have been avoiding the VS3/4 which have had the 333 on the route in favour of other flights, preferably those with a 744, but even the 346 is better.

Hi, if you travel on one of the new A330-300's then you will have the new suite but if you are on one of the other air bus's it will be the regular seat. This aircraft is running this route from Dec/jan 12 onwards.

Hey, personally VAUC wins over BACW all day. The CH at LHR is awesome, the UC wing with drive trough check in and private security is class and there is a bar on board! Not First! but for business class price VAUC feels like first class.

Be interested to know your experience and how you think it all compares. :)

All A333's, three cabin class aircraft have new suites and Panasonic entertainment systems, i have just had confirmed by family member who is VA engineer. :)

That is interesting as they claim it is considerably wider!! I will be on VS400 A333 in a fortnight so will find out! New bar looks cool though, what did u think of the new look cabin etc?
