Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - Cat. 1 - 4 Bonus Certificates Capacity Controlled?

Do hotels limit the number of Cat 1-4 certificates they accept? I am trying to use one in Orlando for a one night pre-flight stay and I can't get any of the hotels in the area to have the "would you like to use your unused certificate" thing to show up.

However, if I look elsewhere (not Orlando) I can get it to show up.

I'm just wondering if I am out of luck in using one in Orlando or should I call and have it applied?

Thanks,
Maggie

The award availability is limited. The certs are subject to standard award availability, per my understanding.

So the hotels must be out of award availability for the night you looking for...if you give the dates, someone else here can look and confirm as well.

Sometimes the website "forgets" how to apply a certificate. The option simply won't show up, then after a while it comes back.

If the hotel has award availability, the MR phone line can book it for you.
