Emirates operated their DXB-AMS route today with the A380, making it the first time a commercial Superjumbo has landed at AMS. As of now, EK will operate the A380 daily to Dubai.
Dutch captain Finn Zwager pulled out the Dutch flag when docking at the adapted gate G9 after they had made a tour around Schiphol to let all the spotters get a glimp of the aircraft.
This flight got a lot of media attention, including a crew of Luchtvaartnieuws.nl who were tweeting live onboard to let spotters know some info such as the landing runway (18C, Zwanenburgbaan).
