Has anyone else had difficulty navigating the new Barclays website? It seems slower to access and when I switch from one account to the other it crashes. I liked the old website much better.

Yup. I prefer the old layout.

The old layout was, well, old. At least I could easily see and identify information though. I can't even easily determine where things are or how to navigate to them. I'm in the software business, so I understand change and getting used to things, but I definitely do not see this as a user-friendly interface to begin with. Ugh!

I just received the card last week, so I only had a couple days with the old website, but it was definitely a bit mickey mouse--a circa 1998 webpage, it seemed. I think the new design is an improvement...the only thing I've noticed is that it tends to be pretty slow to load when you click on various links on the page.

I agree with the slow comment. Also I wish they would post authorizations real-time instead of overnight.

I'm basically in the "newer is better" camp.

The old interface seemed stale. There's some clutter I haven't gotten used to yet on the new one, but there was a lot of lousy framing on the old one.

Can't say too much regarding speed -- the old system often seemed clunky, too.

new interface is much faster for me...it might be taking their servers a little time to propagate everything initially. I also prefer it, easier to find things and see what I want to.

CAUTION: I'm not sure if it's a coincidence, but as of 8/1 my US Premier MC is no longer associated with my DM account.

Went to book award travel today and wasn't getting the 5,000 mile bonus. Called DM tech support and was told I had no MC account. I have to call the DM service desk Monday.

I'm also experiencing errors on the Barclay's website.

As many have pointed out, the old interface both looked and was very 'old'. However, it was also functional, showed all the info I ever needed, and didn't get in the way. The new one certainly looks newer, but it's much slower and doesn't (so far) seem to add any substantial new functionality. I assume they will sort out problems with the new layout, but if I could flip a switch and go back to the old one for the moment, I would.

This is getting beyond ridiculous. I've been on the phone with the DM Service Center and Barclay's for an hour. They're pointing the finger at each other.

In my experience, they always do this. I just iterate back and forth, trying to keep my cool while explaining to each party politely that by following their (non) logic, I find myself in an infinite loop.

At some point, and it can come from either side, someone "gets it" and calls the other side, and things get fixed. Hard to predict when, and even how, since if you were to believe the original blame-shifting, resolution would be impossible.

I don't so much dislike the layout, but wished the site was functional. Yesterday, I had to log in 4 times and still could never get to the page to make a payment...... Did they hire DL or Hilton's IT staff????

I think the new layout is fine, alot nicer than the older version.

The problem is after the switch over, now it doesn't work with Mint! Hopefully they can fix whatever the issue is, I'm working with Mint right now, but all their messages from customer service seemed to be the same canned response for everything...

I agree that the new site "looks" newer but doesn't really add any new functionality... This one gets a big yawn from me.

Same issue with Quicken

I have to say that compared to what I was seeing last week when it first came out, the new website appears to be running much smoother/faster as of today.

You know, I just noticed the same thing...I signed up for the card two or three weeks ago, a day after I was approved I had the "DMS" logo next to my status when I signed in...but just looked, and it's not there anymore.

Has anyone else lost the Dividend Miles Select link as well?

What ended up happening? Was this resolved?

Hey my DMS logo is also gone and no they haven't resolved it yet. Supposedly my case has been turned over to a US employee who is the liaison between DM and Barclay's.

Same issue with Quicken

Quicken is returning a message that the Barclay's site is blocking the program's attempt to login. It all started with the website update. I have to download transactions into Quicken from the Barclay's site using the "export" option. PITA.

I think the credit card site is down. It won't accept my password on either account! But the security image shows OK. Hmmm.

Now it is working.

Everything seems to be back to "normal" as of tonight.

Has anyone set up autopay using the new website? It seems to me like the repeating payment page just doesn't work...doesn't show any existing repeating payments and doesn't allow me to change an existing autopay or schedule a new one. Old site works fine for this.

I am not a fan of this new website.

My previous autopay transferred over without a hitch.

But the transactions won't auto-download to Quicken (I'm on a Mac) - also a PITA.

And it is GLACIALLY slow to change pages / tabs.

And more than once I have had the website just crash on me, or force my browser to quit.

Not sure if this is related to Mac / Safari or the website itself, but I have to say the old one, while not as slick, was much more functional for me.

+1. The old site let me get in and out quickly to do what I needed to do. The new site is slow, annoying, and less intuitive.

But ooh, shiny sliding animations!
