KLM Flying Dutchman - OLCI for KLM. China Southern flight

Got an email from FB this morning inviting me to check in online for my flights tomorrow, Humberside - Amsterdam - Guangzhou- Bangkok.

Followed the link, and it only allows me to check in for the first leg, nothing onwards.

As there are 3 of us travelling, I wanted to try and get three seats, on the same row at least, but it seems I can't select seats, nor check in for the China Southern legs, even on their own website.

Any ideas ?

I wouldn't worry about not getting seats together on your onward flight. You three are definitely not the only people who will have failed to assign seats online for the flight.

It might be worthwhile trying again via the KLM website - perhaps the China Southern flight was not yet open for check in when you first looked, and maybe it will be open for check in now, or later (maybe it only opens 24 hours before the departure of the China Southern leg).

Or perhaps it's just not possible via the KLM website - I have no personal experience of China Southern.

I would ask the checkin staff at Humberside airport if they can issue the onward boarding passes (though I suspect they won't be able to). Otherwise, just swing by one of the transfer centres (or just use the blue KLM transfer kiosks) to obtain your boarding passes/select and change your seats.

I booked beijing-guangzhou-jakarta last month thru CZ, it showed under 'manage my booking' on KLM, but I could not assign seats. Asked KLM facebook, they said its not possible because it was a CZ flight. I had to call CZ office to get the seats assignments.
