United MileagePlus (Consolidated) - Flight cxld and UA's Reservation system is down

Tried calling 1K reservations for a cousin whose flight was cancelled (surprise surprise) and they told me sorry computers are down we can't do anything but answer general questions, unreal.

Computers finally started working and agent told me SHARES automatically rebooked her for August 4th, she manually rebooked her for tomorrow the 1st.

Ss doesn't rebook, regardless of what the agent said. Other programs do based on availability. UA used EZ-rebook (1 of the many products in the "ez" line of enhancements) and CO used (and still does CARS <or is it CARRS?>) They both run the same way. Often the rebooking zeros out flights and they move on to the next flight. Then people cncl, or find other ways, which opens up some seats earlier, and some people manually get on those. Nothing about Shares is all that automated, scripts and 3rd party software just interfaces with it.
