DL: BOS-OAK ~$265 RT AI, 3.9 cpm possible
Best possible routing here is BOS-ATL-LAX-OAK and return. With a 500 mile minimum on LAX-OAK, it works out to a little under 6800 MQMs RT for $264.80, or 3.89 cpm. Routing through SLC both ways is 4.23 cpm or so for around 6250 MQMs RT, all mainline Delta (LAX-OAK is a Skywest CRJ from what I see). Routing through SLC has better availability as well. Available on many weekdays for same day turns (using redeyes of course, so you might not be able to get back to BOS in the morning, as I don't think DL has any redeyes to BOS?). Most Saturday departures require an overnight and a later departure on Sunday, requiring most of Monday morning before you get back to BOS. I noticed it because DL has so few double connection fares to boost mileage, so when they get decent, it can be time to jump on them for some.

Finally bit and booked this for my first MR! Thanks for the find - I appreciate a fellow Bostonian on the hunt! ^ I might even do this again before the end of the year if I need it.
I had to compromise a little on the mileage, but I found BOS-DTW-SLC-OAK-LAX-DTW-BOS for $264.80 a/i. The schedule makes it worth the slightly increased cpm - all of the layovers are about 1-2 hours, and I'll leave Saturday 10/27 at 9:00 a.m. and come back on Sunday 10/28 at 9:22 a.m. 5812 MQMs = 4.5 cpm. I'm stoked! :)

Welcome to MRing! And as an FO you should get some UGs on Sat flights so that'll be nice for you!
I still need another MR to reach Plat this year but it's not so easy for me to get to BOS from NYC so I'll prob wait for a good MR ex-NYC or PHL.
Thx for posting

Welcome to the world of MRing! I would take the one with better schedule. For MR, you will always facing trade-off between schedule, miles and price.:)

Was able to book using my TYN points, thanks for the heads up. I may keep DM for next year after all, even with flying <25k miles this year, thanks DTW-HND triple points from last year and 15k MQM from AMEX.
