Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - upgrade on LH

I am a newbee in things of upgrades on LH.

I need help with a question: I will be flying on LH440 the new A380 in september and was playing in my miles and more account to see if I could upgrade from V class to business. I filled in all required information and received an message that I do not have enough vouchers....

Then another message that the flight details could not be found. Well the whole ticket is issues by UA, on LH440 I can see that I am on a UA8866 codeshare. Does that mean that I cannot upgrade with M&M miles?

Codeshares can only be upgraded at the AirPort, on the day of departure

Yesterday I gave a call to M&M from Hong Kong and was told that I have a LH flight number but there is no space available to upgrade me in business.

50 k miles to make the upgrade. but I guess the R class not available ( R class as in case of UA).
