Hyatt Gold Passport - Hyatt Place Chicago Downtown?

Just did a search for hotels this weekend and it returned a result I haven't seen before.

Looks like they're continuing to expand in their hometown.

I wish this place was around in my younger years when I would party in that neighborhood. The Hamtpon in was my go to spot...

Is this taking over the Hampton Inn? It's right down the street. Is this new construction?

Supposedly going to be a Hyatt Place, a Fairfield Inn and an Aloft all on the one site. Weird. Opening next year sometime.

All it says is opening soon... no specific date mentioned and not bookable at present.
