Star Alliance - Best *A Award Option?

Returning from Europe, I have the option of LH Biz on the 747-8 or OS Biz on their 767, versus UA F through LHR. I understand LHR-IAD is frequently switched out to the old config 777. I have heard negative reports of OS's hard product but great things about the service and catering. Since it is a day flight, the ability to sleep is not as important to me unless the space is cramped/uncomfortable.

Any advice is appreciated. Since this will be a USAirways award, I may not have the ability to move up to F on LH since it would probably not open until I already flew out on the outbound flight.

I believe the 747-8 has the new LH C product on board which looks pretty great. IMHO, I'd take LH C over UA C given better service, catering, and lounges in FRA if sleep isn't a priority

Definitely go for the UA F, even if you run the risk of old F. The seat will still be much roomier and more private than LH or OS C.

If you don't mind a double-connect, both SN and LX new J looks good
