Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Is it a legal 3+ regions award ?

I am wondering if the following routing is valid as a 3+ region award ?

xxx-FRA-YYZ (stopover)-JNB
JNB-PER-BKK-FRA-xxx

xxx being in Europe

I really don't think so.

Toronto is surely not a valid stopover for a trip to Jo'burg.

And routing via Australia (and Asia!!) for the return also seems a very big detour.

I am wondering if the following routing is valid as a 3+ region award ?

JNB-PER-BKK-FRA-xxx

definitly not. 3 region award is for 3 regions.

In your case you touch:

Europe
North America
South Africa
Australia
South East Asia

--> 5 regions

Here is what I read on other posts about 3+ regions award:

4 segments in each direction
1 stopover
crossing Atlantic and Pacific is not allowed
more than 3 region allowed and can be different in each direction

You are trying to fly Europe-N.America-Africa on the outbound and Africa-Australia-Asia-Europe on the inbound. The inbound will be a problem (4 regions), plus finding award seats on N.America-Africa will be very tricky.

This will definitely not work... Tried to do something much less complicated and it did not work...

You are trying to fly Europe-N.America-Africa on the outbound and Africa-Australia-Asia-Europe on the inbound. The inbound will be a problem (4 regions), plus finding award seats on N.America-Africa will be very tricky.

I was able to find available seats in Business.

I know it's possible to go with a R/T Europe-Asia-NA-Asia-Europe. I wanted to know if someone already tried a Europe-NA-Africa-Asia-Europe before.
