Hertz - Proof of Gold Family Membership needed?

We made a reservation for a minivan while being logged in with our Gold Family account. We did this to waive the underage fee.
If I understand it correctly this program is for US Residents only (which we are not). We were able to register for this program though (using a US address).
When we will pick up the car, will we need to show some proof of membership for the Gold Family? (We do have a Hertz card, some Gold membership which we also registered for for free)...?
Can they deem the discount invalid? (The car has been pre-paid)

What is the country of issue of your driving licence ?

Have you previously rented in the USA with your gold membership?

The country of issue of the drivers license is Netherlands, and we have not rented before with the Gold membership

I think you will have a problem - when you collect the car they will require to see your licence, and the address for your gold membership will not be correct. I think they will refuse to rent at the rate booked because you are not eligible for the family membership.

If the program is for US residents only and you are not a US resident then you can expect problems if the agent notices it.

Does being a Hertz #1 Gold membership make any difference perhaps?

No. It's all about the CDP number you use, and whether you're eligible for it.

In my opinion you're going to be fine.

It *is* all in the CDP, and there are plenty of CDPs around that waive the underage fee.

Look for them and have them available in case you need them.

And try making a different reservation from the Netherlands site, with or without an underage waiver PC. You might be pleasantly surprised.

But then again, they might check if we are eligible for that particular CDP, right? So if it is a CDP for USAA, or a company, they may ask proof that we are working for that particular company? Or not?

Trying to figure out if we are indeed Hertz #1 Gold, hopefully we are and McCarran has the option to go directly to the car so we can skip the clerk at the counter altogether ... Gives us the most chance to use this CDP since it seems to give us the most discount so far ;)

If you never rented a car before as a Hertz #1 Gold, you certainly cannot go directly to the car. The first time you rent as Gold, you need to show your creditcard and driving license, only from the second time onwards, you can go directly to your car.

Ok, that's clear then ... too bad though :P

Yes, you'll have to show ID and credit card. And I still don't think it will be a problem. Hertz is very loose in "enforcing" CDP restrictions.

It does list NL as a country, but when you try to advance in the registration you'll get an error message. I read somewhere that is is for US Citizens only, or only applicable to people with a US address ...

Most likely the agent wouldn't have any idea that the family program is restricted to US members. I'd say you probably won't have a problem, but there is certainly a chance that they will catch it.

The family program works for Canadians in both the US and Canada, except licencee locations.

PC #144314 waives the underage fee and is available to anyone.
