bmi diamond club - Last reward flight BD774 in C inbound cancelled/moved to BA no reasons given

My last BMI reward booking made in April in C from Jeddah to London on BD774 on 9th August was canceled and re-booked on BA 132 the next day.

I am also still booked on BD 775 to go back on 21st August and that hasn't been canceled, yet.

I know they are stopping in September, but is this flight empty and they are just moving everyone to the current BA flights from Saudi?

Anyone now why it's not flying, not that it makes any difference now?

There is a lot of change to the RUH operation for the first 2 weeks of August. The majority of the flights during this time will be operated on an A321 via BEY in both directions. The A321 obv has less business seats & less seats overall so maybe that is a reason why.

In which case maybe I should be grateful to be on BA132 (767) in C and not an A321:) At least the return is currently still on BD775 on 21st so that will be my last BMI flight.

I would say you've done well out of the change. The 767 has flat bed, much more privacy than on BD, Much bigger selection of on demand IFE. Also you're on a day flight. Catering, well, that's not BA's strong point.

Yes and No, it has messed up my travel plans slightly, but agree the day fight is better as I have flown this flight in an emergency before. I hope BA fill in the gap left by the cancellation of the BMI Thursday flight too.
