For FRA-NRT and FRA-NRT-SDJ flights over the next year I am trying to maximize EQM accrual in my UA MP account. Obvious choices for the FRA-NRT portion are LH and NH. Looking at the mileage accrual sheets, if I book through the LH site, typically in M or H class, I get 100% EQM if the flight is on LH metal. How about on NH metal?
(1) does FRA-NRT-SDJ count as "domestic Japan with an international connection" and therefore give me 100% EQM (M or H class) on the entire itinerary or
(2) will NRT-SDJ count as "domestic Japan with an international connection" and therefore give me 100% EQM, but FRA-NRT count as "All other ANA-operated flights" and therefore give me 70% EQM (M or H class).
