Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - Which COPA routes and Flight Numbers fly the new 737-800 with the Sky Interior

I have flown twice to SCL from LAX on COPA Airlines and I have noticed that not all 737-800 planes have the signature Boeing sky interior. I was trying to figure out which flight numbers and routes have the redesigned planes. I called COPA but they were less than helpful.

I read somewhere that you could determine that based on the seat configuration, but I do not see a difference between the old 737-800s to the newer ones.

Compiled list based on routes:

LAX <> PTY
new interior: CM472
old interior: CM303

PTY <> SCL
new interior: CM174
old interior: CM117

I will be flying from LAX to GIG and GRU in September and the trip would be a lot nicer in the signature 737-800s.

Thanks!!

That's a tough question. Others have asked, and I have never seen an answer. I can tell you that I have never seen one on the IAD-PTY route that I fly a lot.

However, on the 4 legs I've flown this year between PTY and MIA all were sky interior, and one was the really fancy version with the individual TV's. I believe COPA has only one (or at most two) of the really high end configuration.

I flew one of these on a PTY-MEX recently. It was the late flight out of PTY (dont have the flight number with me).
Awesome inflight experience, I must say.
