InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - Club Lounge Rate Booked But Lounge Closed

Was looking at booking a club lounge rate at CP LAX for a Saturday night stay but reviewers have mentioned the lounge is closed on weekends. On contacting the hotel I was told that a breakfast voucher is provided. Why are they selling the club lounge rate for a day they know the lounge is closed and yet only providing breakfast and nothing else? The breakfast rate is less than the loung rate, is this false advertising and a way to rip-off guests a few extra $$?

Anyone with similar experiences at this or other hotels where they booked a club lounge rate and it was closed?

But breakfast at restaurant is really good (and much better than the one served in club lounge)
Still, both lounges are open and you can have a drink and use the computer.

CP Liverpool Speke Airport has been the same the last few weekend visits, but as previous poster says, drinks and lounge still available but not staffed (cutting down on paying people) free full breakfast in the restaurant is more comprehensive.

Some hotels put in extra amentities for club rooms like bathrobe to justify for the extra charge for a club-level rooms.

Is the CP City lounge still closed on week-ends? I was going to book a club room there, but that may not be worth it.

I understand breakfast can be had in the main restaurant, but do they offer anything in lieu of evening hors d'oeuvres and drinks?

CP Dublin Club Lounge closing for three weeks from now until 7th January.
