Just noticed today but didn't have time to stop in. - Not sure how long it's been US Airways Club and no longer the United Club.

Has anyone been in here yet? The one thing I enjoyed about the United Club was the actual cans of soda (hope they do not get rid of this).

I saw the sign on Thursday but was at the North Pier with cowokers. I will check it out next week on my next hop.

UA moved to the south pier and to the old CO gates - 10-14. So, they moved ops to the Presidents club there. This is good and bad as UA and US are no longer co-located (meaning you'll have to reclear security).

Wonder if US will try to get AC to move back to the middle pier?

Maybe there will be shuttle service between UA/US?

I was in this club when it was still a United club at the end of June. Have no idea what US has done to it since taking over, but it's got some nice views and plenty of power outlets. I assume its amenities will pretty closely mirror the north pier.

US posted on Facebook this morning that it just opened today :)

As part of their, "30daysforDC," promo, the first 50 people today got in free.

Would love to see if they actually did an upgrade to Terminal C club. It's definitely worn!

I hope they put a little work into it before opening it, but it's only been closed for two weeks so I will assume they didn't. On the bright side, I notice the north pier club now opens at 5:30am ^

Argh, I checked Friday and it wasn't open. Any indication if it will be Priority Pass like the other one?

Interesting, US has 214 flights out of DCA as of 7/1. Its closely approaching PHX in terms of flight count. Amazing.

I imagine it will have the same standards/entry requirements as the others.

Actually, in the US Airways magazine this month, Doug Parker's column stated that as of July 11th, US now has 237 daily flights from DCA.

Also, how big is PHX? If I would've guessed, I would've put it much higher than that, just based on how many gates US has there and how busy it always seems...I would've guessed at least 400 flights/day.

As of 7/1, PHX had 287 daily flights. However, the majority of PHX flying is mainline, whereas the majority of DCA is Express. In fact, PHX has more mainline flying than PHL.

Neat to read, thanks for that.

Why is it only a "focus city" and not a hub?

Here now, I was never here when it was United so I can't compare, but the furniture seems similar to whats at the other DCA club. They do have soda cans in the fridge though. Snacks are the same as what you find at other US Clubs.

My guess is that DCA is optimized for point to point flying rather than for making connections. Try doing a search for fares between two cities that would require a connection in DCA PHL or CLT. You might notice that the DCA connection costs a little more (sometimes even just $1). The goal is to have the lowest fare display in such a way that you are encouraged not to transit DCA.

I just priced ou pvd-chs in august. The cheapest option by far was a connection at DCA.

Just got kicked, er, eased out of the club - got there at 6, the sign said
that it was open at 0630, so I figured I'd hang around and use the AC
signal until then (which I am doing now). Strolled in at 0630, card and
bp in hand - nobody at the desk, so I wandered around until I found
someone. Who promptly said, "sir, you'll have to exit the club." Upon
seeing my blank stare (I am dressed casually, not messily, plus I took a
shower recently) she explained that the real opening time was 0700.

From what I could see, it's the US Airways catering. She gave me a
bran muffin as a consolation prize.

The physical plant appears to be the same.
