Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Mixed Fare Class Itinerary

Hi, just wondering if CX allow the option to buy fares ex-HKG that include different fare classes? IE If I wanted K Class on the way out and V Class on the way back is it possible?

Thinking to upgrade the outbound night flight but sit in economy on the day return.

If both K fare and V fare exist on this route and season then supposedly yes. You will subject to the rules (length of stay, rebooking fee, cancellation fee, etc.) of the V fare, though.

You can only book that with the help of CX res or a travel agent. The website won't do it unless one class is sold out and it books the next higher class by default.

Should be able to do it on AA's website, provided the desired fare classes show up...

checked with my TA and found that switching to a V fare would save $1000HKD and add the change/no show fees to HKG-SYD itinerary. Not much point in doing I think :(
