I'm planning to fly from moscow to khartoum through Doha on a restricted economy ticket and upgrade the DOH-KRT segment to first class both ways.
Because the schedule leads to an overnight layover each way, access to first class facilities (particularly the beds) at arrival in Doha is the key issue. Upon arrival in Doha on an economy ticket with a forward ticket in first, will I be allowed immediately into the premium terminal? This seems likely, but having arrived in economy, I suppose they could allow me there only a few hours before the actual flight in first (as if it were a separate ticket.) Again, I will surely be registered for my onward flight at this time, so I think there should be no problems.
On the return journey, will I be taken to the premium terminal arriving in first and could there be a possibility of remaining there? I am assuming probably not, and plan to reserve a paid stopover. Still, I'd be grateful for any info on the arrival procedure. Is lounge access granted on arrival in first, and how far could it be stretched?
If anyone has flown to KRT in first, please tell me whether there are priority lanes or separate facilities for passing border checkpoints/security, any lounge?
