US Airways Dividend Miles - US Club access without *G card?

I hate starting new threads, but since I couldn't find a recent thread on lounge access, I'll post it.
I'm Star Gold with TK, and am flying US for the first time in a while on BOS-DCA-BOS. I haven't received my card yet. How stringent is US on presenting a Star Gold card to access the lounge? I know that Star Gold is usually printed on the boarding pass.
Thanks!

The best course of action is to try!
Make certain your BPs have the Star Gold designation (go to the ticket counter if you must) and then try at the Club. I *think* Club agents have a way to call in and see if you are a Star Gold or not. That said, if they strictly adhere to the rules you are supposed to have the same-day boarding pass AND the card in hand to be eligible for entry so even if you have a BP with the Star Gold designation but don't have the card, they can refuse you. Good luck!

Ended up in a similar situation with TK *G last month, with my wife matching over but the card not arriving yet. We were actually travelling UA on that trip, so our experience was at UA clubs, but here's what we did:
Print your profile page from the TK website. It has a picture of the elite card on the left, and then your member number and information in the profile area. You might also want to have the page that shows when your elite status is valid through (probably summer 2014). When we handed this to the front desk of 4 different United clubs they were able to pull it up in their computer and verify the status. It takes about 5 minutes, but worked every time. We didn't even have it on her boarding pass - she was crediting to US. Can't promise US Club will have the same patience/willingness to help, but it's worth a shot.
Hope that helps.

You may get somebody willing to bend the rules but most likely without the card you will not get into the US Airways Clubs. They are quite strict about having the membership card.
The main problem is that *A has an issue with the "Star Gold" on the boarding pass not being correct. A friend booked me a flight out of his (then) Continental account, and all my boarding passes showed me as *G, even though it was him and not me that had the status.
