Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - What benefits can AS 75K get flying on Delta award?

Just used my delta miles to book 2 coach tix to South America in Dec.

As a 75K with MVP hubbie - are we able to use our AS status to secure better seating? Wasn't sure if I could change my FF# from Delta to AS on award tix, especially since I'm using my miles.

Are we eligible to use AS Boardroom card to access Delta club when on delta award tix (won't need international access - only ATL) ?

Tried searching on flyertalk, Delta and AS websites, but did not see specifics on reciprocal benefits when flying on award tickets.

Many Thanks!

You will get to enjoy all of the benefits just as if you were flying revenue, except no complimentary upgrades on the domestic sectors.

You can select the Preferred Seats [Blue ones] for free and you also can purchase Economy comfort on the international sectors for half price.

You can access the DL SkyClub by virtue of your BR membership. I am not sure where you are heading to in South America, but DL does have a SkyClub in Santiago and Sao Paulo. You can access those clubs with your BR membership as well.

Have a great trip to South America!

To further clarify, my understanding is that you would need to have your AS FF# in the reservation before those benefits would apply (that is, unless you also have status on DL). This can be done at delta.com with your DL confirmation code that should have been given to you by AS at the time of your reward booking. If all else fails you can phone Delta CS and ask them to manually apply your AS FF#.

Your Boardroom/Skyclub reciprocity benefits will apply regardless of which FF# is in your reservation.
