As of right now I am fairly certain that the answer is NO.
The list of AA Advantage "Additional Airline Participants" states the following for Westjet; " Earn miles within Canada and between Canada and the U.S., the Caribbean, and Mexico. "
The codeshare arrangement between AA and Westjet seems to be evolving so I am hopeful that we will be able to use AA miles to book Westjet flights at some point in the near future.
I will confess that I have never tried phoning AA and asking for an award itinerary that included a Westjet flight, so if anyone has had a different experience I would be happy to hear about it.
