Hi

Anybody knows any online retailer that ships TravelPro luggage internationally ? I need two suitcases, a 20"/20" carry-on expandable and another one 28" expandable shipped to Romania. I only found one and they charge around 200 USD for shipping to Romania. Amazon charges me 148$ for shipping but also charges me some additional 126$ Import Fees Deposit that is not accurate at all.

Please let me know how can I get these items at a decent price.

Romania is going to be a tough place to get something shipped due to fears of fraud. Have you tried Amazon.co.uk (http://www.amazon.co.uk/) already? They might have better options than Amazon.com.

I really didn't had any issues with ordering online for years already. Most of online retailers ship to Romania with no fears of being frauded. I can pay in advance anytime if any retailer has this request. Amazon.co.uk has some crazy prices , equiv. of 352 USD for a TravelPro Crew 8 20 inch exp. and another website http://travelpro.co.uk/showitem.asp?prodid=32 has it for 311 USD ...

In order to ensure that they get paid without charge-back risk, merchants needs to ship the good to the destination with signed for acceptance. Many countries low cost postal system does not provide for that nor have expedited parcel services.

To ship a suitcase size parcel to Romania for $148 plus $126 for custom fees plus handling is the posted rate for UPS, DHL, FedEx.

I don't get it. Why on earth they would charge me the custom fees in advance ? I always pay the custom fees at the local customs office in my town where I collect my packages that arrive from outside European Union. I never dealt with this situation ever and I shop frequently for some items on Nordstrom.com , Saksfifthavenue, Macy's and other major retailers in US and sometimes Asia and not once that happened to me. I pay taxes (if any according to the customs catalogue, some items are excluded and I only have to pay VAT) and VAT according to the invoice or if the invoice is absent according to the minimum value for that category in their catalogue.

Well I'll have to keep looking around until I find a better source or someone will sell them in Europe at a fair price.

Try crewoutfitters.com They have a phone number on their website for international orders. Their prices for luggage are extremely reasonable (I would go so far as to say they have LOW prices). I can't vouch for their international policies or shipping, but I've had good experiences with them. Worth a call, I'd say.

Thanks. I wrote them an email, maybe they can be of any help. Indeed they have good prices. I've found the new Travelpro Crew 9 22" Expandable Suiter Rollaboard for 159,99$ and the Travelpro Crew 9 28" Expandable Rollaboard Suiter for 219,99$
