While we're talking how rates are displayed, I would be thrilled if Marriott's search engine could allow us to filter out advanced purchase rates. I generally have no interest in booking a rate that is inflexible. I would be doubly thrilled if the search results would include Marriott Rewards Offers rates in the "rates starting at" column. Of course I'm dreaming if I actually think Marriott is going to make a website enhancement that's actually useful.

I have the same way rates are displayed now for some days - since the uproar is very limited I guess it's a non-USA problem only. It's marriott.com only, btw., marriott.de shows the rate in the usual order, i.e. lowest first.

No idea what causes this anomaly, and there is no "switch" to get back to the normal order of rates...

Greetings - Dirk

But watch what you ask for. I am sure they will interpret your explicit request into the ability to reserve nights for cash and separately reserve nights for points and then be able to combine the two reservations. Or maybe they will just display the highest rates if you request not to see ADP rates, or something just as dysfunctional.

It's definitely not displaying from low to high anymore. I noticed this just recently as well and definitely want the old price sort method back where lowest price was at top. Even sorting by room type and price displays the higher price first.

Just booked two seperate stays at JW BKK and while the header states rates as low as 4500 THB that rate was listed at the very bottom of the page, whereas in the past the lowest was always listed at the top. Almost panicked when I could not find the low rate at the top, but finally scrolled down and there it was (hidden at the bottom). Granted this is only one example and I have not sampled other properties to see if the display change is consistent--better things to do. But wiser now to this ploy.
