I have been looking for any prior posts for OZ biz class ex-HNL to ICN.
Using award miles to get to PHN via ICN. And I am getting mixed reviews of OZ in general for their biz class.
I could also route on UA metal, hnl - nrt , then TG, nrt - bkk-, then TG bkk - pnh.
Also, I wonder if even in biz class if TG does a full meal service for a departure time of 12:20am? (also, this might be the HND departure flight).
thanks,
Patrick
I believe that HNL-ICN is still relatively new for OZ. Please post a trip report if you do fly OZ.

The OZ A330 J seats are nothing to write home about--old lie-flat style (i.e., flat at a significant angle).
I have a UA award ticket booked for late October.
Flying HNL-NRT-ICN in UA business and returning ICN-HNL on OZ business.
Can post reports when I finish the trip.

Hello 50_fishing:)
I am still in Cambodia and take the OZ flight ; ICN to HNL on Thursday morning.
The service on the outbound was very good except for one quizzical item: during the 2nd meal service , which was I guess a light dinner of sorts - no alcohol of any kind , I could see if they ran out (rather unlikely) , and when the food was delivered not one attendant asked about a beverage .
Perhaps it is their policy to not serve libations at 2nd service?
Any thoughts from anyone?
Patrick :)

Nothing to look forward too on seats... Not even close to lie flat. I think even UA old C seat is better for sleeping lie flat angle. It's more of a regional C product seat.
Food and service is what I look forward too.

Mahalo pallensf. I normally take the BKK-NRT-HNL route return home from Thailand vacation. Might try the BKK-ICN-HNL this year.
Just flew the HNL-ICN OZ route in business class this week. Both food and the service are quite good but the seats are horrible. I am 6'2 and I just didn't fit, they are severely angled and worst of all, the foot rest does not electronically extend. It is spring loaded and you have to keep constant pressure on it to keep it extended, take your foot off and it comes right back at you. It was pretty bad. I booked this flight quite some time ago because I didn't want to connect in NRT. Next time I'll probably go through NRT on UA. Now that UA has deemed me worthy of GS this year, I need to fly as much UA metal as possible so I can maintain my GS and keep Jeff happy.
Happy travels.

Yes, that's HND alright. After takeoff they serve sushi and soba, then breakfast.
