Routing TK Y IST-LHR connecting to UA C LHR-US the link suggests that the allowance is 3x70pounds whether C or *G? Or should *G give you 4 bags x 32 kg?
3 AFAIK.
Is it all one booking? If not, TK's Y allowance is considerably smaller than UA's)

Thx. Obviously one PNR, hence the question. Does that mean *G doesnt give any extra then?
3 includes the extra on UA. If it's one ticket then UA's rules should apply.
The sites phrasing is pretty crummy IMHO however.

UA C does not give you 3; it gives you 2x50;
*G will give you the 3x70 since TK has a rule that the "most significant carrier" rules apply - UA in your case.

Thx. I was aware of TKs MSC rule noted in that link.
However arent you wrong on 2 vs 3 pieces on UA C intnl?

"Customers with a confirmed seat assignment in United BusinessFirst®, United First®, United Global FirstSM or United Business® will be allowed to check up to three bags, with a maximum weight of 70 pounds."
I believe increasing from 2 to 3 bags is a rather recent change. Still shouldnt *G in any case come on top, no matter the limitations?

Another change we may actually like.
UA is finally catching up to their promises.
You are correct; 3 bags for BF
If you look at the UA new baggage calculator and you enter *G, you still get the 3 bags only but if you read the *A rules it implies you get an extra bag.
I would not assume they will let you send 4 bags.
