I'm flying ORD-AUA and after leg #1, realized I left my noise canceling headphones at home. 3 weeks ago I was on a flight that handed out noise-canceling headsets from United in first class. I'm flying First to AUA and am wondering, is this something I can count on? The plane shows a movie and it is not a short flight, so I know we get headsets, but does anyone know if the new, United Noise canceling sets are now handed out on every movie equipped flight or was it just a fluke that I got them from LAS-DC? I've got a long layover and COULD spend a fortune on a cheap pair here, but if they're letting us use the new ones, that would be silly. I finished all my work on my 1st flight and was looking forward to watching some of the movies I'd downloaded.
Anyone know if those are now the official headsets or if I should just go buy a pair? Sounds silly but I have 3 pair at home and would hate to waste the money.
